Lucy Air Ambulance for Children flies children between hospitals across the UK for a variety of reasons including:
– to receive specialist care
– to be taken closer to home, including for end of life care
– for diagnostic tests
– for specialist surgery, including organ transplants
Help When The NHS Can't
The NHS are unable to fund planned air transfers. If we do not move these children no one else will. We are the only charity in the UK that can transfer children long distances because we use aeroplanes. The transfers we provide are planned (non-emergency) which means from point of referral a child can be moved within 24 hours, depending on need.
One mother of a child we transferred said: "Thank you Lucy AAC for letting me be a mum again to all my children and bringing my family back together again. Air ambulances are something that we tend to not think about until we need one ourselves and it has definitely highlighted to me the great work this charity does in helping families in a time of need."
One Pound Per Week Could Make All The Difference
By signing up to just one entry a week in our lottery you will help our small charity make a big impact.
Three months – Pays for a CPAP bonnet and mask to support a child's breathing on a flight.
Six months – Pays for ECG dots to help monitor a child's heart activity during a flight.
One year – Pays for an infant warming mattress to prevent the risk of pneumonia during a flight.
How it works
The Lottery results are calculated using the temperatures from selected destinations around Europe on a particular day each week.
Players are assigned 6 numbers when registering, that are then checked against the last 6 digits of temperatures in Fahrenheit that are published in the Daily Mail on the day of the draw.
Enter your lucky lottery numbers and find out if you've been a winner!
If your name is here, congratulations! Your cheque is on the way!
