The Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary will be celebrating 30 years of caring for animals in 2017. Every year since the sanctuary was founded, the charity has become busier and busier as the demand to care for abandoned, abused and neglected animals has grown.
At the Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary, the emphasis and greatest demand in recent years has been to take in horses, ponies and donkey's, many coming from the Bodmin Moor area of Cornwall, which has become a dumping ground for horses and these currently account for about 25% of the 70 equines we care for.
Most were in very poor health, suffering from starvation, serious worm infestation and numerous other conditions, but thanks to the care and dedication of our staff and excellent support from our Vets, all are on the road to recovery and in time we hope to loan them out to new loving homes.
Caring for animals particularly equines is extremely expensive, with a single blood test costing around £80 and it currently costs around £150,000 a year to run the sanctuary, so every £1 of income is vital to continuing our work.
We hope that you will support the Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary by joining the Weather Lottery, so please fill in your entry form today and we wish you every success in being a lucky winner.
How it works
The Lottery results are calculated using the temperatures from selected destinations around Europe on a particular day each week.
Players are assigned 6 numbers when registering, that are then checked against the last 6 digits of temperatures in Fahrenheit that are published in the Daily Mail on the day of the draw.
Enter your lucky lottery numbers and find out if you've been a winner!
If your name is here, congratulations! Your cheque is on the way!
