First Response

The First Response Charity Lottery gives you the chance to help to raise vital funds for this life-saving organisation. Your donation will be used to run the Charity so it can continue to give Emergency Medical Support in many communities across the UK.

First Response was set up in 1997 by serving RAF officer Scott Bateman MBE. His father had recently died from a heart attack as it took the ambulance fifteen minutes to reach his remote location. He felt that this delay was unacceptable and since this incident he has set up the Charity using both Military and civilian personnel who give up their free time to respond in Rapid Response Vehicles to 999 calls. We now have 18 schemes operating all around the UK to supplement the Ambulance Services, and they activate us in the same way as their other assets. However, we receive no funding from the Military or Ambulance Trusts and have to fundraise to buy all the extra kit that we use.

Help us to save lives in your community.
